A Day In Manchester

Had a day in Manchester for Mothers day obviously with the mother hen. There was also a St Patricks day market which is where the paintings were being done outside an art supplies shop. We went to Afflecks Palace, a great alternative shopping arcade with loads and loads of shops.

We went for lunch at an asian-fusion street food restaurant under the Machester Eye so it had lovely views. They were perfectly happy to adjust the dishes to make them vegan ( I am alllergic to dairy and don't lie to eat aymore meat than I have to). The decor was really cute and the staff were really friendly.

We also found the cutest little coffee shop, The Fig and Sparrow @figsparrow. They sold lots of super cute homeware as welll as the obvious coffee and teas. The whole place had a really cool vibe and again the staff were super, super nice. #CoffeeTastesGreatUpNorth.

Lot of love

Family Meal: Homemade Burger Co.

Went out for a family meal with Mum, Dad and Reece. We debated a few places while in Leeds city centre but opted for the homemade burger company. The food was yummy and the staff were really lovely. There were classic burgers as well as innovative twists and vegetarian and vegan options. I'm vegan other than the two portions of red meat a week I have to eat for medical reasons and eggs from pet chickens.

I had my red meat portion of a peanut butter and bacon bun-less burger, which was really nice. All the meat is British  and meets high welfare standards. I hate having to eat meat as an animal loving, yoga/meditation hippie, but unfortunately for the moment it is necessary, but I always try to source high welfare standards meat.

The decor was really cute and modern with a twist, I really loved the mixture of wood and tiles and the spherical hanging lights. I would definitely recommend the chain its great value for money and the food and staff are lovely.
